Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG): How Singapore Businesses Can Save on Energy-Efficient Air-cons

All you need to know about Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG) as per Ministry Of Finance's 7 April 2026 Ministerial Statement (Source: GoBusiness)

With rising electricity costs and increasing pressure to go green, many Singapore businesses are looking for ways to improve efficiency without heavy upfront investment. The Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG) is one of the most practical solutions available today — especially for SMEs looking to upgrade equipment like air-conditioning systems.

What is the Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG)?

The Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG) is a government initiative designed to help businesses reduce energy consumption by co-funding the purchase of energy-efficient equipment. It supports companies across sectors such as manufacturing, food services, retail, construction, maritime, and data centres.

EEG in simple terms: You invest in energy-saving (and better) equipment, and the government subsidises part of the cost.
